They say Hindsight is 20/20, our mistakes become clear when looking back especially in parenting situation. So, when we got another chance at parenting after more than 8 years, I decided I am not going to repeat my mistakes.

An experienced, more patient parent armed with all the social media parenting groups and reels to guide me! This is going to be perfect. No sugar, no Coco Melon, no toxic plastic toys. Bring organic food, Ms. Rachel and wooden educational toys. But the meltdowns, sleepless nights and tantrums persisted.

Having realized earlier as first time parents there is no Olympic medal awaiting on achieving milestones. Early walking, early talking, toddlers crunching alphabets –numbers …nah not us this time. Slow and steady kiddo, no pressure and definitely no comparisons. This strategy seemed to have worked out. Happy kid and happier parents.

Parenting is not a walk in a park, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. You must go with the flow and wing it at times. Pursuit of perfection is a mirage, as we learn to make peace with our shortcomings.

Our imperfect parenting technique works for us. My children have found confidence, friendship, and an openness to the world that’s truly special. For me, the journey of raising them here has meant letting go of old worries and embracing each new experience as a family, one day at a time.
